I contacted Charlotte Mei recently after seeing an internship advertised on her blog, and last Wednesday she invited me to come down to the secondary school where she's currently in residence. I also met the twins behind Finchittida, a jewellery company. After a couple of Apprentice style tasks (grabbing things from Tescos and the pound shop and painting toast plates), I helped Charlotte set up for her Clay Club.
We made pinch pots, playing with bisque and white clay (the name for which I forget!). I made mine have cute ears like Cheburashka!
It was a great evening, can't wait to do more next Wednesday!
