Point of Sale Making

The project is going well! I'm making my point of sale - this is how I did it:

I started off with drawing my idea out and making small paper + balsa wood models.

I used this gif to explain my concept to people:

Then I set out to make something around the same size as the end product:

Here it is!

Then I began experimenting with how to hair - psa: glue stick doesn't work. The tape was good for the model but the real thing will need a glue gun!

I cut out the shapes with a band saw - here's a picture of Dad showing me how to get sharper corners:

My triangle stand was good but a little wonky at the bottom so the whole thing would wobble. So Dad used a hand saw to get a super straight line:

Now that I had cut out everything I needed to start attaching them to each other!

This thingy meant the screws would sit flat into the MDF.

Washers to keep the hands separated from the MDF, allowing space for the book to slip in.

Drilled holes in the hands - slightly stigmatic in imagery.

Everything attached!

Applied primer then used acrylic to get a flesh tone.

Painted a cute face!
