2060 Week One: Community

Our group was the most positive group! We decided to split into two factions: one group would hand out positive affirmations to passers by - like Bible thumpers, but with less talk about hell - and the other would run some kind of workshop. The first group would push people towards the second.

I made the affirmations we handed out:

The reactions people had towards them were hilarious. One man did the sign of the cross - most likely superstitious about fortune telling - others were genuinely grateful and I think we made their day.

Kathy made our sandwich board signs:

Anna and Kate ran this workshop:

People were encouraged to draw positive things, I helped out a little bit - prompting people who looked a little lost.

This is a little girl's drawing of her best friend, it was the cutest thing EVER.

Here's everybody being very positive and spreading joy to the people of Peckham. Afterwards we took the huge roll of paper to our studio:

We started cutting it up into strips and Anna got to work making this kind of nest form:

In the end it looked awesome! Like a portal of positivity!
